The Children’s Residential Center at the Worthington, Ohio campus is for boys ages 10 and above who need intensive skilled assistance to succeed emotionally, behaviorally, educationally and spiritually. Many of our children have suffered a lifetime of abuse and neglect, are mentally challenged, or simply have nowhere else to go. Children are assigned to home-like cottages based on age and severity of developmental issues. Each cottage has its own supervisor, therapist and 24/7 staff of specialists. The entire campus is supervised at all times.

All children receive customized programs of care which are administered, evaluated, and adjusted by their multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Parental or family involvement is encouraged whenever possible.  Most boys attend a campus school operated in conjunction with the highly-respected Worthington School District. Many creative therapeutic programs, including expressive arts, recreational therapy and spiritual studies, help children achieve their full potential.

For over a decade, UMCH has had proven success with lower-functioning boys who have co-occurring mental health issues. While we have earned extensive professional respect in regards to this population, our program may be of news to you. Lower Functioning Boys Program.
