Welcome Home to UMCH
For almost a century, the United Methodist Children's Home has been saying just that to children and families. Although a lot has changed since The United Methodist Children's Home first opened as an orphanage in 1911, one thing still remains true: "We are a Community of Care!"
UMCH serves boys and girls in the Child Residential Center in Worthington and in Treatment Foster Care headquartered in Reynoldsburg. Care continues through Aftercare support programs and adoption services.
UMCH provides children with a safe and secure transitional home. We help them to overcome lives of abuse and neglect. We provide hope and teach important family values in the context of unconditional Christian love.
At UMCH, we continue to believe that the spiritual needs of children are as important as their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. Today, spiritual care remains an essential part of our ministry to troubled children and their hurting families.
The United Methodist Children's Home's Administrative Offices and Residential Treatment Center are situated in Worthington, Ohio on a 40 acre campus, with mature trees and green space for recreational use. A satellite office located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, houses our Treatment Foster Care & Adoption Program.
Our Mission: To strengthen our community by providing care, nurture, and treatment for hurting children and families.
Our Vision: To be the premier faith-based family services and children's treatment ministry in Ohio.
