CONTRACT POSITION – LICENSED SOCIAL WORKER/COUNSELOR FOR OUTPATIENT SERVICES

UMCH Family Services is seeking a contracted licensed mental health professionals to be part of our outpatient programs. Individual will provide mental health services for youth and their families in the community, school or office. Visit our website at: www.umchohio.org

Position Summary

The clinician will work in an Integrated Care Community as a partner with schools, pediatricians and others to provide a therapeutic web for their clients. This will be accomplished through providing therapeutic direction, conduct mental health assessments develop and implement treatment plans and document services delivered. Earn up to $55.00 per hour.

 Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

This is a fast pace environment where the position supports and works directly with the prescribers and clients.  They perform vitals, complete treatment plans, release of information, correspondence with medical providers and labs, check OARRS daily, provide case management to on-going clients, triages medical requests.

Minimum Qualifications

INTAKE SPECIALIST

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing varied support to the Outpatient, Psychiatry & Treatment Foster Care departments. The Intake specialist reviews referrals to determine appropriateness for placement collects necessary paperwork to facilitate placement and completes any necessary documents and client and professional contacts for services.  This position is also providing administrative support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Intake

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with referring agencies and professional staff that make referrals
  2. Understand key components of the various programs (psychiatry, IHB, outpatient services, assessments)
  3. Respond to referrals no later than one business day after receipt
  4. Assign and schedule first appointments with referred client family/guardian
  5. Request additional information from referring agency when necessary.
  6. Work with clients and billing specialist to obtain payment information (verifying Medicaid eligibility, third party insurance or contract)
  7. Maintain data regarding referrals.
  8. Notifies staff of case assignments
  9. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Intake Supervisor

 

Administrative

  1. Demonstrates Cultural competency and sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
  2. Assist staff with the Electronic Health Record.
  3. Follow-up on referrals that come to the agency.
  4. Provide support to the front desk
  5. Provide support and organization to all clinical staff
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to deal with the public, staff, and clients in a professional manner. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must have the ability to “multitask,” and maintain composure under stress.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to attend staff meetings and agency events sometimes outside of the normal 8:30am-5:00pm M-F work week.
  • Experience utilizing varied software including Microsoft Office. Experience with Electronic Health Record and “Front Desk” duties of a medical or behavioral health office preferred.
  • Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma
